The old version was better..

I’ve been using this app for years and loved placing fairy lights & falling snow on my desktop during the holidays. In fact I loved this app so much, I kept Mountain Lion on my iMac until El Capitan came out because the app wasn’t updated at the time and I was afraid I’d lose it. Now that I’ve updated both...I wish I hadn’t. The old version allowed you to place the lights on screen while viewing & using your desktop. This version is more like a screensaver, meaning you have to toggle between the two if you plan to use your computer. There are a variety of lights available for various occasions, but the bulbs look very garish (the bunny lights are downright hideous) and have less realistic options than previous updates. But even those things I would be willing to overlook if running the app didn’t make both my iMac & MBP scream in RAM agony.

I haven’t found a similar app that I like yet (ATTN DEVELOPERS, CHRISTMAS 2015 *WINK NUDGE*), but I’d rather have nothing than use this.
